Drs. Moore and Murray have performed tens of thousands of dental procedures, including over 1,900 Invisalign cases and placing more than 10,000 veneers. We have a large Smile Gallery that shows our actual patients before and after their treatment, and we do not use stock photos to demonstrate results. In-House Lab and Quality Control
Unlike dentists who outsource production of dental restorations(crowns, bridges, veneers, etc.) we control every aspect of the process. The result is restorations that fit perfectly without weeks of waiting. Using an outside lab might result in the restoration being shipped back for adjustments, inconveniencing the patient with multiple appointments. It can also result in placing a restoration that isn’t ideal, since adjustments can’t be made with an on-site lab. We make adjustments right here in our on-site lab, while the patient waits. Patients preview their new smile by trying on their veneers, crowns, etc. before placement.

Meet the Doctors
Dr. John A. Moore
Already a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with an established background in engineering and art, John A. Moore, Jr. decided to take on the challenge of dental school. It was widely understood by his peers and professors that he would rise straight to the top of his field.
In dental school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, his senior task was to work on 12 dental crowns and dental bridges. Dr. Moore completed 65. His record remains unbroken to this day. And his passion for dentistry lives on in the patients he’s helped feel better and more confident over the last three-plus decades at Cosmetic Dental Associates.
John Moore, DDS started as a research assistant and teaching assistant at the University of Colorado and University of Texas. He moved on to become a Clinical Instructor and Assistant Professor of Dentistry at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. There he taught dental anatomy, restorative dentistry, and clinical dentistry for 10 years (1978-1989). In addition to teaching, he has lectured both nationally and internationally (at UTHSC, TDA meetings, and the Mexican Academy of Prosthodontics).
Meet Dr. Crystal Murray
Dr. Murray earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical science at Texas A&M University in College Station. While enrolled there she did research on Purkinje fibers in the brain and fell in love with strong evidenced-based medical research. She has used this commitment to an evidence-based approach throughout her dental career.
Dr. Murray worked in dental and medical offices prior to deciding she wanted to apply to dental school. She attended the prestigious Baylor College of Dentistry at the Texas A&M Health Science Center and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery there in 2013.
She completed further education in medical emergencies and sedation at The University of Alabama-Birmingham. She maintains her sedation, basic life support (BLS), and advanced cardiothoracic life support (ACLS) certifications in addition to the required continuing education.
Throughout Dr. Murray’s education, cosmetic dentistry was a central focus, although she excelled in all areas. In fact, Dr. Murray won various art awards at a young age, which attests to her eye for detail and delicate hand skills. Driven by her passions for art, science, and helping people naturally, cosmetic dentistry became a passion for her.
With her eye for aesthetic detail and knowledge of facial anatomy, Dr. Murray has completed thousands of successful facial cosmetic injections and Botox® cases, with a focus on Botox for clenching, grinding, and TMJ. She is also experienced in using sleep apnea appliances to extend life expectancy as well as quality of life and Invisalign to enhance the appearance of patients’ smiles.
