Meet the New Associate

Dr. Brett Reeve, DDS was raised in Paradise CA and graduated in 1998 from Paradise High School where he enjoyed classes in art, math, and sports. Following graduation, he served a two year mission to Guayaquil Ecuador for his church. It was there that he became fluent in the Spanish language. During his time spent in Ecuador Dr. Reeve realized he wanted to pursue a career path that allowed him opportunities to continue serving people on a daily basis while utilizing his artistic skills.

After returning from Ecuador, Dr. Reeve attended Brigham Young University where he combined his studies of Pre-Dentistry and Spanish, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts “Cum Laude”.

Being a native Californian, Dr. Reeve switched his colors of “blue” to “red” when he chose to attend the University of Southern California’s School of Dentistry (yes, the Trojans). During dental school Dr. Reeve joined the Military where he became an airman in the United States Air Force. However, the most important event that occurred while he attended USC was when Dr. Reeve finally convinced his girlfriend, Stacie, to become his wife and they were married in February of 2006. In 2009, Dr. Reeve graduated from USC where he earned a membership in the Honor Dental Society “Omicron Kappa Upsilon”.

Following dental school, Dr. Reeve was stationed at Lackland Air Force Base at the Dunn Dental Clinic. There he continued to pursue additional education where he completed courses in Prosthodontics, Operative Dentistry and Treatment Planning.

In addition to his educational pursuits, Dr. Reeve enjoys family time with his beautiful wife and their two children. He also continues his love for sports participating in local softball and basketball leagues. Dr. Reeve is affiliated with the Boy Scouts of America serving as a local scout master.

Dr. Reeve enjoys practicing all aspects of Family Dentistry and is excited for this opportunity to learn from, and work with, Dr. John Moore.

Dr. Angela M. Hoikka, DDS-received her bachelor of science in Chemistry from Eastern Michigan University with honors and approved thesis in1998. While at Eastern she was elected a member of Golden Key National honor society and the University Honors Program. During her undergraduate years she was granted a scholarship and traveled to Finland to study humanities for one year. Here she received additional honors and stipends for her commitment to the College in the city of Reisjarveni where she studied and had the opportunity to travel throughout Europe. Completing her undergraduate honors degree she continued on to receive a doctorate from the University of Detroit Mercy in 2002.

While at the University of Detroit Mercy she had the opportunity to serve an underprivileged community in intercity Detroit and gain extensive experience in dentistry with adults and children. For over 10 years she has committed to serving patients according to their needs and delivering the treatment that best suits these unique needs.

Dr. Hoikka was married December 26th 1998 and has eight children. Her husband is also a dentist and serves our Country by treating our active duty military. She enjoys music with her children. They are actively involved in YOSA which is the Youth Orchestra of San Antonio. One of her children plays the piano and another violin. Dr. Hoikka and her family enjoy music, hiking, history, reading and many different outdoor activities.

She enjoys all aspects of dentistry; general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry and dental surgery. She takes pride in improving the quality of life of her patient. She is a very thorough and caring dentist.
